| Description: | Primary Function
This individual will support the Vice President of Repertoire in all aspects of deal development including prospecting, sourcing, negotiating, and closing game development deals. Specific Job Duties 1. Identify new external development opportunities for our client for original intellectual property as well as proprietary content and licenses. 2. Evaluate external development opportunities and new product concepts; utilizing key criteria such as developer capability, technological edge, commercial potential, gameability, profitability, and fit with our clients brand. 3. Evaluate business case scenarios, negotiate deal terms and manage all stages of the contract process. 4. Establish and cultivate relationships with key development partners and players utilizing new and non-traditional communication pipelines. 5. Administer development negotiations and contracts while involving all relevant departments. 6. Negotiate updates and amendments to development contracts through product development cycle as necessary. 7. Assist producers and product marketing managers as needed to guide products through publishing process gateways 8. Communicate game vision and explain development and deal structures to executive staff in marketing, product development and sales. Skills and Abilities • Established network of relationships with external development teams around the country. • Proven negotiation and closing skills. Understanding of contractual management. • Have a proven track record of successfully shipped critical and commercial ‘hit’ products. • A solid understanding of all the key components that go into today’s top selling games (3d art, animation, game design, music and sound effects), their creation and the management thereof. • A strong background in production and developer relations. • Demonstrated understanding of brand development and management, from creative, marketing and sales perspectives. • Strong supervisory skills and leadership skills. • Ability to communicate effectively and credibly with different audiences on a broad range of topics: from technical and creative to business and executive. Experience & Education • Minimum of 5 years of product development experience in the entertainment software industry with at least 3 years management experience. • Direct experience of managing developer relations and contract negotiation required. • Travel Requirements Domestic travel as needed, Europe 2-3 times a year, Japan 1-2 times a year. |
