Director of Architecture and Development - Silicon Valley
Defines, and ensures compliance with the enterprise software and data architecture of complex systems, interfaces and/or services, including data architecture and data warehousing.
Develops and communicates a technology roadmap encompassing software architecture, program architecture, design and development standards for Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), data architecture and code management for developing custom web, mobile, business intelligence and business applications.
Researches and recommends new technologies, development tools and development methodologies that allow the organization to remain adaptive and maintain a consistent architecture while providing quality products and services to our customers.
Recruits subordinate staff to include interviewing, hiring, assigning work, training, coaching, and counseling to ensure consistent application of Employee Guidelines, processes, and procedures. Conducts performance review, and holds employees accountable for performance of their positions.
Manages an offshore development team at a partner site in day to day execution of project activities, assigning resources to critical initiatives by managing concurrent priorities that may come up from time to time.
Partners with business, sourcing and executive teams to develop Statements of Work, provide inputs to contract negotiations, define & report SLAs
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Administration or a related discipline.
A minimum of seven years of experience managing or acting as a project lead in an applications architecture and development role, in applications design, programming, implementation and post production support of complex software systems and services as well as in relational database architecture, design and development including data warehousing.
A minimum of seven years of experience with CRM system development, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), data architecture, data warehouse, business intelligence (BI), and enterprise content management (ECM)
A minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in several of the following: Core Java/JEE, JBoss Application Server, Oracle/MySQL database technologies, HTML5, AJAX, JSON, XML
A minimum of 7 years of custom CRM architecture/design/development experience, preferably on Salesforce.
A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant work experience in leveraging cloud platforms and technologies including SaaS, PaaS, IaaS. Relevant experience with Amazon Web Services would be a plus.
Strong knowledge of PHP, SQL, LINUX, LAMP
Experience with REST/Web/API/JMS Services
Experience with high volume transaction processing and/or "Big Data" is a big plus.

A minimum of seven years of experience implementing, designing and enforcing project management, requirements definition and signoff, Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), quality assurance methodologies, software testing principles, as well as Change Management and Configuration Management best practices.
Strong ability to discuss and present technical solutions to non-technical clients and Senior Executive Management.
Ability to stay current with evolving software development technologies.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
