This candidate will be the point person for all data aggregation, analysis and dissemination in connection with the Company's mobile App. The Director of Analytics will be able distill large amounts of data coming from disparate sources into actionable recommendations for all other departments with the Company including UX, UI, iOS and Android developers and the executive team.
This is a mobile app-focused role. It is not a marketing analytics position. The candidate must have excellent mathematical and communication skills, and be fully versed in various analytical packages including Google Analytics, Mixpanel and Localytics. The Director of Analytics will report to the Chief Product Officer.
The Director of Analytics position is ideally suited for a highly motivated candidate with 5+ years of related work experience.
Audit, structure and maintain tracking schema for the Company’s mobile app.
Analyze user behavioral metrics and maintain dashboards on a daily basis.
Determine KPIs and targets for new app releases and provide variance analysis post app release.
Participate in weekly sprints with product and development teams to ensure tracking is properly implemented and data is driving decisions.
Run cohort analysis to optimize user experience and retention.
Support marketing efforts as needed with ROI and acquisition data points.
Share expertise with the executive team and at company-wide meetings to instill a data-driven decision making culture.
Degree or background in a quantitative field, e.g. Mathematics or Statistics.
Highly versed in analytics packages including Microsoft Excel, Mathematica and online data visualization and tracking tools. Ability to query backend databases a plus.
Excellent communication skills, specifically the ability to summarize complex data sets at the appropriate level of detail to the target audience.
Attention to detail and deadline-oriented.
Ability to thrive with limited day-to-day supervision in a dynamic and demanding startup environment.
